There are also tons of day trips available which go to various places in and around the city to enjoy. Some of these day trips include visiting the Olympic National Park, the Olympic Discovery Trail, the Hurricane Ridge which is a mountainous area in Olympic National Park, Pillar Point, Salt Creek which is a wonderful place to camp and hike, Spruce Railroad Trail, Hoh Rain Forest which is an amazingly lush and beautiful rain forest full of various types of plants and moss, Rialto Beach, Deer Park, Sol Duc River Valley, Madison Falls Trail, Cape Flattery Trail, and the Dungeness Recreation Area. Each of these day trips offer up something different and fun for anyone looking to enjoy nature and check out some spectacular scenery.
The great thing about Port Angeles is that in addition to outdoor activities and gorgeous landscapes to enjoy, the city has a great nightlife scene as well. There are concerts on the pier which happen every Wednesday evening during the summer months, and lots of great shopping and nighttime entertainment such as live music. Port Angeles is truly a magical place that must be experienced first-hand.
